A Black Man was raised and born different
Our struggle began so long ago
Society try to keep us down the hole
We break it like shackles on chains
To black women we're kings and then ain't nothing
Either we got the streets or the books
We turn to the books and excel
We're not enough hood enough to be with
But wonder where the real men at?
Or sell out because we want a better life for our families
We turn to the streets to make money or provide for families
But we're killing our race but don't know the reason why we're doing it
What about those Men who raise their kids like a Man should
Without a woman there because of many reasons, they just get "Oh we're supposed to do that"
Statistics we're rising when it comes to graduating for college
Keep pushing my brothers because we're making an impact if no one even takes the notice
Lead these young kids to reach for the stars
Instead of hitting the streets and behind bars
All we hear is we're all dogs
But they never take the time to know the Black man for who he is, just look at those little boys with cars and money
But when we're successful and don't give them the time of day we're funny?
Let's stop hating the next man because of achievements
Let's go get them
Treat our women right
Because those ignorant one's are hurting them
Later on in life they see the light
The one's that works 2 jobs and get taken for granted
The story is untold because people don't take the time to read
It's different things I didn't cover
I just hope I just gave you a second to glance at the book
